This quality thread is hand dyed by Chameleon Threads in South Africa, on quality silk – Au ver a Soie – imported from France. They are lovely to stitch with and a must have for the keen embroiderer. Au ver a Soie 100% unbleached pure silk is used as the base thread. One strand can be used for embroiderers who love very fine work. Au ver a Soie d’Alger is a 7-stranded silk and has a wonderful sheen and good light reflection qualities. Pure Silk comes in 5m skeins.
